The Domaine de Rocalbouys goes back three generations. In 1990, the owners, Nicole and Benoît ANDRIEU planted the first vines in the stoney ground on the plateau of Saint Cyprien. Les varieties planted are: Gamay 20%, Cabernet Franc 60%, Cot (also called Auxerrois or Malbec) 10% and Merlot 10%.

The first bottling took place in 1994, year when the doamine acquired the appellation "Coteaux de Quercy".

En 1999, the domaine passed into the appellation Vins du Pays du Lot, the commune of Saint Cyprien no longer figuring in the area covered by the Coteaux de Quercy VDQS

The day of the harvest, a special vat is made from Gamay/Auxerrois to vinify the domain's rosé wine, which is lightly pressed the same day. About 48 hours later the wine is racked off and requires particular attention during its vinification.
